Description
The 4-hour ACSC – Cellular, provides specialized instruction regarding both the physical and cyber security of cellular devices. When applied, the objectives of this course establish a system that allow officers to: (1) Protect their device from compromise if the passcode lock is bypassed or circumvented, (2) Communicate officer-to-officer utilizing AES 256 bit (or higher), “End-to-End” encryption, while bypassing the cellular wireless network. This TTP ensures that there is neither a voice nor text record of communication saved on a server for later recall. These same methods allow an officer to communicate with the populace, or with confidential informants (CIs), all while protecting the officer’s device, and in essence, the officer, and the department itself.
