According to an article on Business Insider a female patron had an “altercation” with Burger King staff purportedly because a purchased spicy chicken sandwich had too much hot sauce.
After the altercation, the female patron left the establishment with another person. The female patron and the same person with whom she had departed, later returned in a car and fired multiple shots from the road into the parking lot at four people, according to a police affidavit.
Two people were hit by the gunfire. Memphis police say they have arrested two customers for starting a shooting in a Burger King restaurant after being served a chicken sandwich with too much hot sauce. Apparently multiple Burger King employees were struck by bullets. From the article, it appears that no Burger King patrons were injured in this confrontation.
